Back in Beefy Land
We are back in the land of Beef and honey and we are super excited to be back. Jake has grown quite a bit and seeing him walk around the house like a drunken John Wayne is entertaining beyond words. He seems to have filled out nicely since we have been gone. Each of his legs are as big as Henry and Beefy curls are getting harder and harder to do. I'm looking forward to doing a little wrestling with kid after work today. Last night he lunged into my arms and hugged me tight. He is such a sweet snuggler and the benefit of all that beefiness is a one of the best hugs you can have. It's good to be back in Beefy Land, pictures and videos to come.

Beefy's rough day
Yesterday was a little rough for Jake. He was pretty pitiful all day whimpering and looking tired. He didn't sleep all that well and was unhappy for most of the day. There wasn't any screaming or anything like that just a general discontent all day. He had a little runny nose after naps and went down for bed a bit early. When Scott cam home he got him up and had some snuggle time with him and that made him super happy. We think there is some teeth coming in and some general growing that babies are want to go through. He wasn't tough yesterday, more cute for Kate and I but we could tell he was having a rough day. He seems better today and has already tried to pick up my coffee and pulled all the blankets and towels out of the shelf on the Lania. We can't tell if he is any taller but he is back to his Terrorizing beefy ways!

Hold you
Jake has been super clingy the last two days. He was much more of an explorer earlier in the week leaving the rooms and exploring where he could crawl to, which at this point is everywhere. But the last couple of days he has stayed close by and really wanted to be held the whole time. Not sure if he just had too much explore time or if he gets a little sad around his birthday but he has been getting held and cuddled a lot lately. When he is not being held he is holding on to Kate or my leg pleading his case. The great thing is he doesn't scream or cry really aggressively to get up. He just lets you know that life would be better in your arms right now and it is hard to disagree with him.
